This page describes what piyushagrawal.com collects, what third-party services it talks to, and where affiliate links appear. It is written in plain language because that is more useful than legalese.

Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-preserving by design: no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. It reports aggregate page views and referrer counts to the site owner. It does not identify you.

Cookies and local storage

The site does not set tracking cookies. The dark / geek theme toggle stores your preference in localStorage on your own device so the choice persists across visits. That value stays on your device and is never transmitted.

Affiliate links

Some pages — currently recipes — contain affiliate links to ingredients and equipment on Amazon. If you click one and buy something, Amazon may pay me a small commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which products are mentioned: only things I actually use show up here.

Affiliate links are participating in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon. Affiliate links on this site are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" and labeled with a [shop] tag so they are distinguishable from regular links.

Recipes that contain at least one affiliate link show a disclosure banner above the ingredients section.

Third-party scripts

The site loads a small number of third-party scripts, each scoped to the pages that need them:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics — site-wide. Sends an aggregate page view beacon to Cloudflare. No cookies. No identifying data.
• Amazon OneLink — recipe pages only (when wired). Detects the visitor's country and rewrites amazon.com affiliate links to the regional Amazon (e.g. amazon.ca for visitors in Canada) so a single link works for international readers. This is the largest privacy-posture change relative to the rest of the site, which is why it is scoped to recipe pages and described here.

Data I receive directly

If you email me at hello@piyushagrawal.com, that email is stored in Proton Mail. Proton Mail is end-to-end encrypted; only I can read it. I do not run a mailing list and there is no signup form on this site.

Updates

This page changes when the site does. If a new third-party script is added, a new affiliate program joined, or a meaningful behavior shifts, it shows up here. The git history of this page is the source of truth for what changed when.
